Our history
The Equity Release Network (TERN) was created with a clear purpose: to give later-life advisers the support, technology and strategic backing they’ve long been missing. For too long, advisory networks relied on fragmented systems, inconsistent standards and outdated processes that limited growth. We set out to change that.
TERN sits within the Equity Release Group (ERG), alongside Equity Release Supermarket — founded in 2008 and now the UK’s No.1 whole-of-market, independent equity release adviser — and Equitec, ERG’s technology arm. After reshaping the consumer journey and elevating advice standards since 2008, extending that same innovation to advisers became the natural next step.
Our vision was clear: What would a modern, adviser-first network look like if built from the ground up for later-life specialists?
